Thank you, parents and caregivers, for helping us successfully kick off the school year on such a high note! The energy and excitement your kids brought with them this week were absolutely amazing, and it's been a joy to have them back in the classrooms.

We're so thrilled about the year ahead and can't wait to see all the amazing things our students will accomplish. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to a fantastic school year together!

Warm regards,
Mrs. Reed

One Team, One Dream: Pennants for Performance

We are kicking off this school year with the addition of student pennants.  Each student has personalized their pennant and can earn stickers for having their planner signed every day, weekly perfect attendance, leveling up in Lexia, participating in special school events, Run/Walk miles complete, Sunshine State Readers and many more opportunities!  This is a great way for students to see their accomplishments, and each quarter they will start filling up their next pennant.  Check out your child's planner every day for information, and don't forget to sign it!

Our school has been gifted two beautiful barrel planters for our entryway, and we are in need of two bags of potting soil and drought-resistant plants to fill them. Please contact Mrs. Reed, or feel free to drop off items if you can help! Thank you in advance!

Car-Rider Procedures

Be sure to acclimate yourself to our car rider procedures if you'll be picking up your students from school. Your patience is so greatly appreciated as SAFETY is our primary concern, and not speed! We will always try to dismiss students as efficiently as possible, and your adherence to our procedure is critical in making this happen! Click HERE for our Car Rider Procedures!

Severe Weather - Be Prepared!

Per district policy, when lightning is detected within 8 miles of our school, "shelter in place" in initiated and students are not permitted outside the buildings. This SIGNIFICANTLY affects dismissal, which is delayed because we cannot release students unless a parent comes into the building to pick up the child. We'll communicate with you on days that severe weather may impact dismissal, but please be patient with us, as well as prepared, as our purpose is never to inconvenience our families, but to keep our kids safe!

Clear Water Bottles ONLY!

We encourage all our Bulldogs to bring a water bottle to school to stay healthy and hydrated. We offer multiple fountains and filling stations on campus. Water bottles that will be used in class should be transparent and contain water only. NO STANLEYS or comparable tumblers are permitted.

CCDS Family Handbook

Coc

The CCDS Family Handbook / Code of Conduct has been updated for 2025-2026. Click HERE to view the updated document. Please note the following expectations that reflect dress code expectations specific to CHE:

  • Shorts, dresses or skirts should come to the middle thigh or longer. If leggings are worn with the above mentioned clothing items, then the top layer of clothing (shorts, dress, skirt, etc.) MUST come to the middle thigh or longer.

  • Jeans/pants that have frays/holes above the middle thigh must have something underneath them, such as leggings that cover the skin, so as not to expose skin or undergarments.

  • Shirts must cover the shoulder and not expose undergarments in any manner or any part of the torso.

  • Students may bring water ONLY - no other drinks - to class, in a CLEAR, plastic bottle with a secure cap or lid.

  • Head coverings are not permitted inside buildings & classrooms unless expressly permitted by administration.

Remember a rule of thumb for dress code:If you're not sure that an item meets the dress code, don't wear it!

Parental Preferences:

Annual Updates and Consents

In our ongoing efforts to simplify and streamline your experience during the back-to-school season, we have digitized several required parental preference forms. Please review and complete these at your earliest convenience, as this information is vital for your student's safety and well-being while at school.

  • Emergency Medical Card

This form provides us with essential contact information, medical conditions, and emergency instructions for your child. Keeping this updated ensures we can respond quickly and appropriately in a medical situation.

  • Media Center Access and Book Check-out

This form allows parents to select their child’s media center access.

    • K-8 Options

  • Consent for School-Based Healthcare Services

This form obtains the parental consent required by Florida Statute 1014.04 for students to access specific school-based healthcare services.

    • Nursing Assessment (use of the school clinic)

    • Health Screening

To complete these forms, please log in to your ParentVUE account. Once logged in, select "25-26 Annual Updates and Consents" to begin the process, if you have not done so already. You can find helpful guides below to walk you through the steps:

  • Updating Parental Preferences in ParentVUE (Annual Updates)

  • Updating Parental Preferences in ParentVUE (New Student/Transfer Student)

Should you have any questions regarding ParentVUE and completing these forms, please contact us to speak with the records secretary, Ms. Pam, who will assist you.
