October 2026

Admin Minute...

Happy Fall, PES Families!

It’s hard to believe that we will be wrapping up our first quarter on October 9th! There has been so much learning, growth, and hard work taking place throughout PES, and we are incredibly proud of our students and staff.

As we approach the end of the quarter, please continue to check your student’s Wednesday Folder and the FOCUS Parent Portal regularly for important academic information and updates. We truly believe that it takes a village to help our students succeed, and keeping our families informed is an important part of the partnership between home and school. Thank you for working alongside us to support your student’s success!

A few friendly reminders as we move into October:

*Please make sure you have a visible PES car hang tag displayed for daily parent pick-up. If you need a new or replacement tag, one can be obtained through our front office.

*Please help us by ensuring your student follows our school dress code requirements each day.

*Early check-outs end at 2:10 p.m. Please plan accordingly when your student needs to leave school early.

*If your child will be going home a different way than their usual dismissal routine, please make sure the teacher or front office is notified in advance. This is extremely important in helping us ensure the safe dismissal of every student.

October is going to be an exciting month at PES, with lots of great activities and events planned for our students and families! Be sure to stay tuned to our social media pages and Wednesday Folders for upcoming details, important dates, and reminders so you don’t miss out on all the fun!

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to another wonderful month of learning, growing, and making great memories together at PES. Happy October, Manatees!

Warm Regards~

Mr. O'Brian and Mrs. Stokes

Paterson Elementary Annual Halloween Parade

We are so excited for our annual Halloween Parade on Friday, October 30th starting at 9:30 AM! Check out the "wicked" guidelines below to help us create a fun, safe, and secure event for all of our students, staff, and families. Please read the details carefully and refer to the parade map!

👻 Parade Route & Student Info

The Procession: The parade kicks off around 9:30 AM. PreK through 3rd-grade students will line the hallways and march in the parade, with each grade joining as the group passes their building. Our 4th–6th graders will line the route on campus to cheer everyone on!

Outdoor Route: Students will exit through the South Parent Pick Up (SPPU) and Media Center gates, turn right along the sidewalk to the pedestrian crosswalk on Pine Ave, cross left, head north toward the bus loop, and re-enter campus through the bus loop gates.

Live Music: Catch our amazing school band jamming in the bus loop area! They will follow the parade back into the courtyard to finish out the procession.

🍿 Viewing Area & Safety Guidelines for Families

Where to Watch: Spectators are welcome to watch from the designated viewing areas in the South Parent Parking Lot (see map).

Parking Lot Closure: The South Parent Parking Lot will be closed to all traffic starting at 9:15 AM (cones will block entry). No parking is permitted in the bus loop at any time.

Campus Gates: For student safety, parents and visitors will not be allowed to enter any gates with the students while the parade is underway.

Office & Student Check-Outs: The Front Office will be closed during the event. Standard student check-out protocols apply through the front office after the parade concludes—no early check-outs will be authorized during the event.

Thank you a bunch for your support in making this a spooktacular and safe celebration! We can’t wait to see all the awesome costumes! 🎃✨
