Dear Manatee Families~
We hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and joyful winter break. As we welcome students back to school, we are excited to begin the new year refreshed and ready to learn. Returning to our school routines helps students regain their focus and sets the tone for a successful second half of the school year.
As we get back into the groove of school, we kindly ask for your continued support in reinforcing our school expectations. Daily attendance and arriving on time are essential for student success, as consistent instruction helps students build upon new skills and maintain positive learning habits. We also encourage students to always do their best, follow school rules, and demonstrate kindness and respect toward peers and staff. These values are foundational to maintaining a safe, caring, and productive learning environment for all.
Please note that mid-year testing will continue beginning January 7 and will conclude on January 23. During this time, it is especially important for students to get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time each day. These assessments help guide instruction and support student growth.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. We look forward to a productive and positive start to the new year as we work together to help every child succeed.

January 26-30, we are celebrating literacy and the spirit of America with fun dress-up days! We can’t wait to see our students show off their creativity and school pride. Here is the schedule:
Monday, Jan. 26: Stars and Stripes ⭐️ Kick off the week by dressing in Red, White, and Blue!
Tuesday, Jan. 27: Read the People 📖 Spread kindness! Wear a shirt with a positive message on it.
Wednesday, Jan. 28: Future of America 🚀 What do you want to be when you grow up? Dress up like your future career!
Thursday, Jan. 29: Team up to Read 🏈🏐⚾ Wear a sports team shirt or jersey! Run/Walk shirts count!.

Ms. Lisa Pierson is a veteran teacher and team leader at Paterson Elementary. She is hardworking and goes above and beyond to ensure that her students are set up for success. In addition, she is a safety patrol sponsor and CCEA building representative. Ms. Pierson consistently demonstrates the attributes of a collaborative leader, as well as a caring mentor to all of her students. We are lucky to have her as a member of our PES Manatee family! |
