Every year during the month of February, we recognize and celebrate African Americans who have impacted our community, state, country, and the world. We celebrate their achievements and learn about their work as entrepreneurs, artists, scientists, inventors, architects, and more.
We also learn about the struggles African Americans experienced throughout history and the people who advocated for change. Black History Month is a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate.
This year’s Black History Month theme is “A Century of Black History Month Commemorations.”.
