Message from Principal Reed

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued partnership and support.

The success of Clay Hill Elementary School is truly a reflection of the wonderful community we have. Thank you for volunteering, communicating with our teachers and staff, helping with schoolwork, and consistently showing up to encourage your children. Your dedication makes a world of difference!

We wish your family a safe, relaxing, and joyous Thanksgiving filled with warmth and happy moments. We look forward to seeing our students back, refreshed, and ready to learn on Monday, December 1, when we will also be starting the administration of midyear progress monitoring assessments. Also, check out our Countdown to Christmas calendar, below, to join in on the holiday fun with daily, seasonal attire.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Warmly,

Adele Reed

CHE First Grade Balloon Parade

Our first graders enjoyed learning about the traditional Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade last week, and they culminated their literary experience with a balloon parade of their own!

Congratulations, Mrs. Samples: Top 10 Semifinalist!

Team CHE couldn't be more proud than we are of Mrs. Rhonda Samples, as she was recently named a top ten semifinalist for the Clay County School District's 2025 School-Related Employee of the Year! Mrs. Samples has served the students of Clay Hill Elementary for almost three decades and continues to inspire learning and collegiality among our students and staff every day. She will be recognized at the December School Board meeting and again at the district's annual Apple Awards on January 22nd. We love you, Mrs. Samples!

Congratulations, CHE! CFCU's School of the Month!

The Clay Hill Elementary Bulldogs were roaring with excitement as they were celebrated as an October School of the Month!  October's theme was "Unity in Action," and our school was recognized for truly demonstrating an incredible spirit of collaboration and togetherness throughout our community. CHE was recognized as, "a fantastic example of a school united!" A huge thank you to Community First Credit Union of Florida for their generous $1,000 donation to support our team! Way to go, Bulldogs!

November/December PAWS Points Fall Frenzy & PARTY!

We are promoting good decision-making and strong character among our students over the next 4 Weeks with our PAWS Points Fall Frenzy! Students have individual point goals that they must achieve by December 12 in order to attend our PAWS Party during the week of December 12. Our team is recognizing students for putting forth a positive attitude, acting responsibly, making wise choices, showing respect, and being kind to others. Please help promote these goals by talking to your child about target behaviors at home. Ask your student about his or her point goal this week!
