Message from Principal Reed

Hello Clay Hill Families,

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend! As we jump into another productive week at Clay Hill Elementary, I want to share some important updates regarding our school’s progress and upcoming events. While rigorous instruction remains our top priority every day, we are officially beginning testing season this week with the FAST Writing Assessments for our 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students. Our Bulldogs have been working diligently on their evidence-based writing, and we are confident in the growth they’ve shown.

To help maintain this momentum, we encourage you to support our school-wide goals at home by focusing on our three target strategies: ensuring student work aligns with the high demands of the Florida B.E.S.T. standards, frequently checking for understanding during homework, and helping your child increase their reading stamina and vocabulary development. You can find more specific details on how to implement these strategies in the image posted just below this message.

We have an especially exciting Thursday ahead as we celebrate our Quarter 3 Honor Roll students with an ice cream social! Coincidentally, Thursday is also Spring Picture Day, so we look forward to seeing those bright smiles. Additionally, please remember that there is no school this Friday in observance of Good Friday. If you would like your child to take a special photo with the Easter Bunny, the CHE PVO will be hosting his visit to our school each morning, Monday through Wednesday; you can register and find more details in the information section below. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's success, and let's have a great week ahead!

Warmly,

Mrs. Reed ♥

PVO Event: Photos with the Easter Bunny!

Our PVO team has made arrangements for the Easter Bunny to visit CHE Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning this week, from 7:30-8:30 am for photos! If you would like to book a photo appointment with the Easter Bunny for a small fundraiser fee, click the QR code below. Time slots are 5 minutes each. Parents will have to Raptor in through the front office, so plan ahead and be on time, please! Also, if your child's photos will be taken before the 8:05 am bell, parents are asked to remain in the lobby at CHE to wait for the first bell, as supervision is otherwise not available.
