Dear Clay Hill Families,
It is hard to believe we are already halfway through the third quarter! Please take a moment to review the interim grades in Synergy and check your student’s progress to ensure they are on track.
February is American Heart Month, and we are jumping into heart health with our annual Jump Rope for Heart event, on February 23, and one final Valentine Dance for students in grades 4-6 this week. Beyond physical health, our character focus this month is Regulation. We are teaching our students vital life skills including Empathy, Self-Management, Grit, and Mental Health Awareness.
These lessons help our children navigate challenges both in and out of the classroom. To support your child's growth in these areas, you can ask things like:
"Was there a moment today when you wanted to give up on a task but kept going? I’d love to hear how you pushed through." OR "I had a moment today where I had to use Self-Management because [insert personal example]. Have you ever felt that way at school?"
It's heartwarming to see our Bulldogs growing, not just academically, but also in their capacity to demonstrate the characteristic of well-adjusted citizens! We appreciate your partnership in supporting both the academic and emotional growth of our students! Don't forget that the Book Fair continues this week! Students may shop for great titles during the school day.
Thank you for your support of our students and staff! We are proud to be the Bulldogs of CHE!
