Message from Principal Reed |
Dear Clay Hill Families,
This week, we will observe President's Day, so there will be no school on Monday, February 16. We hope you will enjoy the day with your family and reflect on American history, leadership, and the presidency. We encourage our Bulldogs to dress up this Friday, February 20, in honor of a historical American president or other national historical figure, and we hope to engage our students and families in expanding their knowledge of those who have contributed to our nation's greatness.
Now that teachers have conducted midyear data analyses and plotted students' trajectories to end of year outcomes, instruction is being refined to best ensure mastery of standards for all our scholars. We are promoting strong alignment to the expectations of state standards, frequent checks for student understanding, the promotion of academic endurance and strong vocabulary, as well as the maintenance of a strong culture of learning through schoolwide systems of behavior management. Thank you for your support of these CHE standards and for partnering with us in continuing to perform at high levels and overcome barriers every day!

Monthly Character MVPs: January |
We are so proud of our students for exemplifying our monthly OneClay Culture Characteristics! These students were recognized for demonstrating Intentionality by setting goals, planning to take action, anticipating challenges, and showing resilience in the face of setbacks. We can't wait to see who our February winners will be as we focus this month on Regulation. This means recognizing the connection between emotions and behavior and demonstrating strategies for staying in control of one's words and actions when emotions are affected. Congratulations to our January winners!
