Dear Parents and Caregivers,
With just two weeks left before the end of the second quarter, we are nearly halfway through the school year. It's hard to believe the year has already moved so quickly, but it reminds us of the value and opportunity in every single day. We are so proud of our students who continue to work hard in the classroom, and also among their friends and teachers, as they demonstrate our Clay Hill core values of putting forth a positive attitude, acting responsibly, making wise choices, and showing respect.
This week, midyear state testing continues in grades 2, 3, and 4. Thank you for ensuring your child has the opportunity to do his best on these important progress monitoring assessments, by ensuring rest, positive messaging and encouragement, and a great breakfast every day. It's also a great time to check the gradebook for any missing assignments or tasks that you may need to discuss with your child's teacher before grades are submitted for report cards.
Of course, the seasonal fun and spirit continue this week with our daily themes, as well as our annual Visit with Santa and Chime Choir Concert this Thursday, December 11, starting at 5:00 pm. Come see Santa and enjoy holiday crafts and fun with our CHE family. We look forward to seeing you there!

November/December PAWS Points Fall Frenzy & PARTY! |
There are JUST TWO WEEKS LEFT for students to earn those PAWS Points for the December PAWS Points Party as we promote good decision-making and strong character among our students!
Students have individual point goals that they must achieve by December 12 in order to attend our PAWS Party on December 19. Our team is recognizing students for putting forth a positive attitude, acting responsibly, making wise choices, showing respect, and being kind to others. Please help promote these goals by talking to your child about target behaviors at home. Ask your student about his or her point goal this week! |
