August 31, 2025

Welcome, September!

We are so excited for the month ahead and all the learning and engagement opportunities it holds! During August and the first three weeks of school, our teachers have been working hard to plan and implement preliminary instruction and assessments, and our students have established a firm foundation for building a learning community of caring, academic focus, and community.

We look forward to a fantastic month of learning and growth together. Check out our moments of August learning and fun at our Facebook page!

Top Parent Tips This Week:

When Should Your Child Stay Home?

While our goal is that students are present at school every day, we know that illnesses are popping up more frequently now that students are back in school. We have seen an uptick in cold-like symptoms that have affected our Bulldogs. Click the image to determine whether it's safe to send your child to school, or feel free to reach out to Nurse Bernice at bernice.reyes@myoneclay.net for more information!

Please complete your Media Access Preferences!

State law requires that Florida schools provide parents with the opportunity to restrict their child's library/media access. As of today, we still have 110 students who need their parents or caregivers to complete their Media Preferences. Even if you completed it last year, it has to be completed annually.

How to Set or Change Your Library Access Level:

  1. Log in to your ParentVUE account

  2. Click Online Registration

  3. Click 25-26 Annual Updates and Consents.

  4. Click Submit.

Students cannot check out books in our school library until this is completed. Thank you!

The CCDS Family Handbook / Code of Conduct has been updated for 2025-2026. Click HERE to view the updated document. Please note the following expectations that reflect dress code expectations specific to CHE:

  • Shorts, dresses or skirts should come to the middle thigh or longer. If leggings are worn with the above mentioned clothing items, then the top layer of clothing (shorts, dress, skirt, etc.) MUST come to the middle thigh or longer.

  • Jeans/pants that have frays/holes above the middle thigh must have something underneath them, such as leggings that cover the skin, so as not to expose skin or undergarments.

  • Shirts must cover the shoulder and not expose undergarments in any manner or any part of the torso.

  • Students may bring water ONLY - no other drinks - to class, in a CLEAR, plastic bottle with a secure cap or lid.
