Dear Bulldog Families,

Hard to believe, but we are officially entering the homestretch! End-of-year testing begins in just seven school days, starting with our focused second-grade assessments. The coming weeks will be a demanding time of preparation and administration across all grade levels as our students showcase the incredible growth they’ve made this year.

To help your Bulldog perform their absolute best, AND support our school's continued high performance and recognition as an "A School," please ensure they: get plenty of rest each night, eat a healthy breakfast to fuel their brain, and arrive at school on time, ready to shine!

As always, we strongly recommend limited screen time and removing technology from the bedroom, as it can lead to late nights of scrolling and little sleep.

While we are working hard, we are also playing hard! Please join us for Dalton’s Night and our spectacular Night of the Arts this week. These are wonderful opportunities to celebrate our community’s creativity and spirit.

Finally, let’s wrap up the week with some fun—Friday is Spirit Day! Encourage your child to dress up as their favorite cartoon character.

Spring Round-Up invites families of rising Kindergarten through sixth-grade students to experience the vibrant "Bulldog Spirit" and academic excellence that define Clay Hill Elementary. During our spring orientation, you will explore our campus and classrooms for your child's upcoming year while learning how our curriculum—aligned with Florida standards—drives progressive student achievement. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our "Connected & Protected: Safety in a Digital World" event at Fleming Island High School! The energy in the room was incredible, and the questions from parents showed just how much this community cares about our students' well-being. Don't forget that springtime means April Showers, and sometimes, thunderstorms! A little rain during school is no cause for concern, but lightning in the vicinity of our campus requires a specific response to ensure safety.

Florida is known as the "Lightning Capital of the World."  With more deaths and injuries than all other states combined,  Florida is ranked as the  #1  target for public safety and lightning awareness. School administration and/or the designee (school staff member overseeing activity) is expected and has the authority to act in the safest interest of all students, staff, guests, and visitors, and may cancel or delay activities, including student dismissal, While we make every effort to avoid disruption to schedules and routines, spring storms may affect dismissal and/or other activities from time to time. Our team will make every effort to communicate with parents in advance of any anticipated storm disruption.

Testing in grades 3-6 in reading, math, and science begins on Tuesday, April 21 and continues through May 12!
