Welcome Back, Pioneer Families!

We are thrilled to welcome you to a brand-new school year filled with excitement, growth, and celebration! As we begin this journey together, we are proud to share some incredible accomplishments from last year and look ahead to an even brighter future.

Thanks to the hard work of our students, families, and dedicated staff, our school has earned an A grade, moving up two academic levels and gaining over 100 points in our overall school score. This is a remarkable achievement that reflects the commitment and perseverance of our entire community!

We are also proud to share that attendance has increased across all grade levels, demonstrating our students’ enthusiasm and dedication to learning. With an impressive 85% staff retention, our talented and passionate educators are here to continue providing high-quality instruction and support.

We’re also excited to announce that a new playground will be coming this fall, a space for students to learn through play, stay active, and build friendships.

Perhaps most special of all, this year marks our 20th anniversary of Pioneer pride! For two decades, we’ve been shaping futures and building a strong, supportive community , and we look forward to celebrating this important milestone together throughout the year.

Our returning administrative team is energized and ready to serve. We are committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child thrives.

Here’s to another outstanding year at Argyle Elementary, Home of the Pioneers!

Arrival

Reminder: If students are being dropped off by car in the morning, cars should pull forward to the end of the walkway. Students are then expected to exit the car on their own. Assistance for younger students will be available by nearby staff. During arrival, only one carline operates closest to the curve.

Dismissal

Reminder: Car pick up will use double lanes, poles 1-11. Once your student(s) is fully loaded in blue zone, drivers will turn on flashers. The flashers allow the staff visually see what vehicles are loaded and ready to exit and who still needs support. Car dismissal ends at 3:00 and students will be walked to the front office. ID will be required for pickup after 3:00PM. Student will be listed and logged as late pick up in our system.

Reminder: Students who attend afternoon YMCA cannot be picked up before 3:05pm, after the normal car rider dismissal is complete. Dismissal must be done with the YMCA and not the school.

Reminder: All students must have a AES Dismissal Acknowledgement Form on file with the school. These forms will be provided at orientation and through homeroom teacher and at the front office. These guidelines are in place to ensure the safety and security of all our students. Please take a moment to review the dismissal agreement you received. It's important to understand the standard procedure for how your child will go home each day. If you need to change your child's dismissal plan for a particular day, a handwritten note is required. We will not be able to accept or approve emails for changes to the dismissal plan during the 2025-2026 school year. In the case of a true emergency, please call the front office directly to communicate the change. Changes made over the phone will only be accepted in emergency situations. We truly appreciate your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and organized dismissal process. Your child's safety is our highest priority.
Change: Car rider signs are BLUE for the 2025-2026 school year. All families are REQUIRED a blue car rider sign for pick up the student. Please use dark, bold ink. Students are called by grade, then by first and last name to the carpool loop and then loaded into car.

AES Student Independence Day

The Argyle faculty and staff welcomes parents and families to walk their student(s) to class the first two days of school, Monday, August 11th and Tuesday, August 12th. Parents and families may accompany their child(ren) to class by entering through the car rider gate on the east side of campus. To ensure the safety of all students, we ask that parents walking on campus use ONLY the designated gate at the car rider entry to campus. School faculty and staff will direct all parents to the designated gate as they enter campus the first two days of school. Just a reminder that all students held in the cafeteria until 8:15. This procedure will take place on the first day of school. Parents please plan to walk to the cafeteria if you arrive before 8:15. Gates will open at 8:05 for the 2025-2026 school year. First bell is 8:25 and tardy bell is 8:30. We kindly ask that your support the safety procedures and at the 8:30 bell exit campus through the designed gate. At 8:30 our school based team will start security sweeps. Thank you for your support. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with our families as we start a great year together. Please reach out to our front office team with any follow up questions.
